‘The path to Indigenise the planet starts by walking in the footstep of our ancestors’
Indigenise grew out of the need for government to be culturally responsive to the needs of ‘grass roots’ community and address the barriers encountered during the co-design and delivery of programs and initiatives. The development of Indigenise has resulted in the creation of an Indigenous social enterprise that is based on the GOTO healing methodology developed through the framework of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We strive to ‘walk in the footsteps of our ancestors’ to bring about transformational change by applying our elders wisdom and traditional knowledge to restore balance in the world for future generations.
Our vision is to bring about healing and resurgence for Indigenous communities world-wide; to build kinship and connection amongst all peoples through the protection of the circle of life; and give people the responsibly of ‘belonging’ to each other and the natural world to heal the earth for future generations.
Our mission is to build inter-tribal and inter-cultural networks of connection; build community capacity for cultural and environmental sustainability by empowering self-directed change; and create a coalition of First Peoples in a movement to Indigenise societies.
